The opening ceremonies kick off at 9:30 a.m., followed by the actually walk on the track that began at 10 a.m. on April 25th at the Rose Bowl!
Last year, more than 15,000 people filled the Rose Bowl and helped make the fundraising event a huge success!
Those people raised $1.5 million to aid in Autism research. This year's event coordinators are hoping to see 18,000 people come out to the Rose Bowl to raise more than $1.8 million.
But with the nation's faulting economy, it will be difficult for Walk Now For Autism to match last year's totals, making their projected numbers seem out-of-reach.
Yet they remain hopeful that a community pulling together, even in tough times such as these, can band together for a good cause and help those who reall need it!

Last year, the Rose Bowl was hopping as a crowd of more than 15,000 donators emptied their wallets and swarmed onto the track on a gorgeous Saturday morning to participate in the sixth annual Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism.
Music filled the air as the USC Trojan Marching Band performed and the USC Song Girls entertained those in attendance by dancing for the event that raised more than $1.2 million this past Saturday.
People flooded the historic stadium from all over the Los Angeles area. Most of the participants were wearing hats, pins, buttons, bracelets, and colorful t-shirts to show their support.
“The response from the Pasadena community was unbelievable,” Belcher said. “They really went above and beyond when it came to helping us raise money for a great cause.”
The fundraising event appears to be healthier than ever as it saw a 25% increase in participation this year compared to the 12,000 people that attended the walk in 2007.
